With many personalities living under one roof, Harley being the middle child comes up with solutions to whatever problems that arise inside the household and outside. Harley comes up with creative ways to cope with the problems. They are a happy family and comedic stories arise out of that setup.

It is a single-camera comedy series that follows 14-year-old Harley’s journey in the Diaz family. ‘Stuck In The Middle’ has had 3 seasons so far. Stuck In The Middle Plot: What is it about? Brett Pierce plays Cuff, who is Rachel’s boyfriend. She is constantly critical of the parenting qualities of Suzy and Tom Diaz, hates Lewie and Beast’s antics and never lets her own daughter Ellie have any fun. Other than the family, some of the recurring cast includes the neighbour Bethany Peters, played by Lauren Pritchard. Tom is a loving father unless he is let down. Tom is the proprietor of a marina store called “Tom’s Bait and Bit” selling camping and fishing equipment. Jon Nieves plays Tom Diaz, who is Harley’s father. She also punishes them depending on their violations. She hardly has time to spend with her kids. Beast is younger to Lewie by five minutes.Ĭerina Diaz portrays Suzy Diaz, the mother of the Diaz kids. Georgie Diaz is the second oldest sister and plays basketball in school and is basically a good sportsperson. One must always take her permission before taking anything from her, otherwise, she retaliates badly. Daphne enjoys her tea times the most and prefers sleeping in her indoor dollhouse. Ethan is the third oldest of the seven kids and aspires to become a musician and a filmmaker.Īriana Greenblatt stars as Daphne Diaz, who is the youngest of the seven children. Ethan is Harley’s oldest brother, and the two siblings are the closest in the family, with Harley often referring to him as her best friend. Rachel leaves the family to go to college in Paris where she also interns at a fashion company on the side. Ronni Hawk plays Rachel Diaz, who is Harley’s oldest sister, which is to say the oldest of the seven sisters. Among some of her inventions are the Conveyor Belt Table, the Slushinator, the Skate Kite, the Pick-Me-Up she has also created a snow machine. She has prodigious talents in engineering and is an accomplished inventor. Watch out Girl Meets World.Jenna Ortega, who also lends her voice for Prince Isabel in the Disney Channel show, ‘Elena of Avalor’, plays the lead in this series as Harley Diaz, who is one of the seven children of the Diaz family. This show has th potential to be something VERY worthwhile. They actually are involved despite the stress and you can tell they genuinely love their kids as seen in the pilot with the father when he says,"There's only one time when I'm not happy to have seven kids.and that's when I let one of them down." Overall, the atmosphere of this show is something that Disney has been missing for LONG time and I'm glad they've found it again. The parents of this show are also different from most Disney parents in the fact that they don't let the kids run the show. The antics between the twins brothers Lewie and Beast is fun to watch and could have easily been a nuisance but the kids that play them are too adorable and effortlessly portray the "dynamic duo" partnership all too well. The sibling bong between Harley and Ethan in the pilot which carries on into the second episode feels real and personally, makes miss all the sibling talks my brother and I use to have at that age. What's so captivating about this show is the outstanding chemistry within the cast. It's definitely reminiscent of the beloved,single-cam sitcoms "Lizzie Mcguire" and "Even Stevens". Also, the single-camera format just adds to the authenticity of the entire show instead of a multi-cam which usually makes the atmosphere too shiny and bright.
Right down to the disarray of clothes, toys, and other trinkets around the house, Stuck in the Middle delineates a very realistic home-style of a huge family. After watching the pilot and second episode, it's hard to not appreciate the camera work and sets of this show. What drew me to this show was the visual appeal in the promos and boy, did it exceed my expectations. Right off the bat, you can tell this show is going to be vastly different from the other formulaic shows on Disney.
